The artwork of Suzanne Cipriano
Paintings, Photography and Drawings
I was born and raised in the Northeast. I studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, with a minor in Art Education in 1991.
I also met my husband at SVA and we married after graduation that year.
After raising three children and a busy "non-creative" working life, a move to Florida in 2016 would have a big impact on me. This move to such a natural environment, along with the support from my husband who has spent the last 36 years as a practicing artist in 3D modeling, sculpture, animation, toy and collectible design, has motivated me to resume my love for landscape painting. His gift to me of a new easel, along with much encouragement, started me on my new creative journey.
The neighborhood I live in along the Little Wekiva River provides constant inspiration with its natural springs, acres of forest, and abundance of wildlife. I enjoy creating landscapes referenced from photos I take during swims and walks with my dogs around the woods and river near my home.
My style is a blend of Impressionism and Abstract Art. I strive to convey the feeling or the mood of a scene through the use of oil paint, acrylics, pastels, and color pencils to create my perception of the surroundings into my artwork.
